Canterville Ghost by Oscar Wilde and adapted by E.P. Scates

December 10-11, 16-18

For three centuries, the Canterville Ghost has been perfectly happy rattling chains, clanking armor and generally haunting Canterville. Enter the Otis family – Yankee upstarts with thoroughly modern ideas. Frightening these befuddled American tenants proves to be not only infuriating but almost impossible for the temperamental British ghost. Yet, through the courageous friendship of one of the young Otis children, the Canterville Ghost finally finds peace. Oscar Wilde’s tale is told with whimsical humor and charm.

The Seven Keys of Baldpate Inn by George M Cohan

March 10-12/ 17-19

Novelist Billy Magee makes a bet with a wealthy friend that he can write a 10,000-word story within 24 hours. He retires to a summer mountain resort named Baldpate Inn, in the dead of winter, and locks himself in, believing he has the sole key. However, he is visited during the night by a rapid succession of other people (melodrama stock types), including a corrupt politician, a crooked cop, a hermit, a feisty girl reporter, a gang of criminals, etc., none of whom have any trouble getting into the remote inn—there appear to be seven keys to Baldpate. Magee gets no work done, instead being drawn into the hijinks of the other visitors.

Suite Surrender by Michael McKeever

June

It's 1942, and two of Hollywood's biggest divas have descended upon the luxurious Palm Beach Royale Hotel -- assistants, luggage, and legendary feud with one another in tow. Everything seems to be in order for their wartime performance...that is, until they are somehow assigned to the same suite. Mistaken identities, overblown egos, double entendres, and a lap dog named Mr. Boodles round out this hilarious riot of a love note to the classic farces of the 30s and 40s.
